History of the Excellence in Teaching Award
Sonoma State University initiated the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1997. It has been generously funded through the years by the Sarlo Foundation, Wayne R. Rolands, Bernie and Estelle Goldstein and the President's office. Between the years 2009 - 2013, funding for only one award had been available. Beginning in the 2014 - 2015 year, two awards became available. These awards are now funded by the Office of the Provost.
The academic year listed reflects the academic year in which the selection was made, although some winners were honored the academic year following their selection.
