Whereas, all living emeritus faculty are members of the faculty and serve as resources to the University, Schools, Departments, and students, and
Whereas, University policy provides that "Emeritus(a) is a faculty status (i.e., membership in the faculty)" and that "Emeriti(ae) shall continue to enjoy, as statutory regulation and institutional resources permit, the professional privileges of faculty (e.g., assigned office space; access to University services, facilities, equipment, materials, activities and listings)", and
Whereas, University Policy that states that Emeritus Faculty shall be included in faculty listings is not being consistently followed, therefore be it
Resolved, that the Academic Senate reminds entities that any listing of faculty in a department, school, or the University include such living emeritus faculty members, with a notation of emeritus status.
