Whereas the SSU Academic Senate recalls with great regard and admiration the quality of Dr. Benson’s calm, down-to-earth leadership, and open, friendly engagement with university faculty, staff and students, and
Whereas Dr. David Benson left the university in 1992 with an enduring legacy of respect and fairness for all members of the university community, therefore be it
Resolved: That the Academic Senate express its deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Benson, on his passing on October 1, 2013, and be it further
Resolved: That the Academic Senate acknowledge once again the deep gratitude of this university to Dr. David Benson for his wisdom, his leadership, and his generosity.
